Where to camp in Egypt?

Egypt is a country that has many things to offer, and it is one of the most sought after tourist destinations in the world. The country has lots of beautiful places where you can go camping, and the most remote places are where you can experience the beauty of nature. Here are some of the best camping spots in Egypt.

1) Siwa Oases

If you're looking for a remote place to camp in Egypt, look no further than Siwa Oasis. The small town of Siwa is the only one of its kind in the world and offers a unique experience for travelers who want to get off the beaten path. This oasis is surrounded by sand dunes and has a hot desert climate, making it an ideal location for camping if you're looking for something different from your typical beach vacation.

Must-see attractions in Siwa Oases

-It's here that you'll find the temple of the oracle an ancient Greek temple that was used by Alexander the Great as an Oracle. The building itself is made up of three parts: a colonnaded forecourt, a central hall, and an inner sanctuary. You can take a camel ride up the mountain or hike up yourself, but either way, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding area.

-Explore the old town of Shali which is one of the oldest parts of this oasis village, with many traditional houses that have been preserved over time. This area was also used by British troops during World War II, so if you're interested in history then this place should definitely be on your list!

- Visit the mountain of the dead which is a place where people have buried thousands of years ago. Today, there are many tombs still intact but some have collapsed and been destroyed by earthquakes over time. You will find many different types of tombs here as well as rock inscriptions dating back to ancient times when they were first created by Egyptians living during that period; this including pharaohs from before their time whom they worshipped as gods after their deaths had occurred - such as Alexander III The Great who built his own tomb of  Alexander the Great here after he died.

- A favorite Siwa excursion is the freshwater lake at the Bir Wahid Spring, well-known for its therapeutic powers as well as its historical significance. Scientists have found evidence that people have used this spring since ancient times as a healing resource. It contains calcium chloride which can help with muscle pains and joint pain if taken internally (you can drink from the spring itself). You can also take baths in the spring or use its water externally for those same benefits!

- Take a tour of Amun Ra Temple, one of the most important temples in Egypt. It was built during the Ptolemaic Dynasty as a dedication to Amun Ra, god of wind and air, as well as fertility and creation. The temple also housed a sacrificial altar where bulls were slaughtered during religious festivals. It was built on top of an older temple dedicated to Amun Re and his consort Mut.

-Visit the Cleopatra Spring which is named after Cleopatra VII Philopator who visited this oasis during her reign in Ptolemaic Egypt. The spring has been used by locals since then and it still provides water today despite being surrounded by date palms and other desert plants. Visitors can drink from this natural spring or fill their bottles with clean water from it!

-Enjoy your day inside the Siwan house, a historic house museum that contained many artifacts including pottery pieces, and jewelry made from gold and silver metal alloys; some were even made from bronze! This is one of the most peaceful places in Egypt and has been known for centuries as a healing spot for those who suffer from respiratory ailments like asthma or bronchitis.

- See all of Siwa from above the Dakrour Mountain. It is in the center of the oasis and can be seen from all over town. If you're visiting for a few days, it's worth climbing up at least once to see the view. Not only does it offer one of the best vantage points for seeing all of Siwa, but it also makes for a fun morning hike after breakfast!

-Finally, there’s the Shali Lodge in Siwa, nestled right in between two mountains. This place is so remote that you can actually see stars at night! If you want to get away from it all while still being able to enjoy some creature comforts, this is the place for you.

Moreover, I am sure that the Siwa oasis offers many places to visit that are worth seeing...

2) The White and Black deserts

The White and Black deserts are two of the most beautiful and mystifying places on earth. And Camping in the Bahariya oasis will allow you to experience the desert in a totally new way. You can explore both deserts on foot or by camelback during your stay at one of the campsites in either location! They're also home to a wide variety of must-see attractions that will make your visit unforgettable.

The White Desert, Egypt is an otherworldly landscape that looks like something out of science fiction movies. The sand dunes are made up of white silica, which makes them glisten in the sunlight and the surrounding mountains and valleys are covered with a thick layer of chalk, which makes for a stunning landscape that looks more like Mars than anything else. It's a magical place to visit, and there are plenty of things to do while you're there. You can visit

The Black Desert, Egypt gets its name because it contains black sand that comes from volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago like Al Marsous mountain. This desert is also home to many ancient sites, including pyramids and tombs that date back thousands of years ago.

Must-see attractions there

In the Bahariya oasis also, you can see the crystal mountain as it is a must-see attraction in Baharia oasis. It's a rock structure that looks like it's made of crystals, but is actually made of salt. It has a height of 1,000 meters and its name comes from the white quartz stones that cover its surface. The valley of the golden mummies is also a popular destination to visit, as it contains hundreds of mummies that date back to more than 3,000 years ago. And Bawiti village is an interesting place to visit if you're interested in seeing the culture of the local people. There are artisans and craftsmen who work on traditional items there, as well as shops where you can buy these items. El Qasr village is another good place is known for having some fantastic museums with artifacts from all over Egypt—you'll definitely want to check those out!

The temple of Ain El Muftella is a great place to start your tour of Baharia oasis. This temple was built during the Ptolemaic period, and it's one of the best preserved in the entire country. The village of El Haize is another must-see attraction in Baharia oasis. This village has been inhabited since pre-historic times and even has evidence that Neanderthals lived here! You'll want to spend some time exploring its old houses and narrow alleys—it's really quite fascinating.

Also worth seeing is Alexander the great temple. This is where Alexander the Great led his troops after conquering Egypt, and it still stands today as a testament to his legacy. The mountain itself is made up of granite columns that were used as bases for military equipment during Alexander's reign. And, don't miss out on visiting the mountain of El Dest which is characterized by its pyramidal shape.

3) Ras Mohammed National Park

Ras Mohammed National Park is one of the most beautiful and remote places to camp in Egypt. The park is situated in the south of Sinai Peninsula, which makes it perfect for camping. There are over 400 types of plants and animals that live in this area. The area is also home to numerous coral reefs that can be explored on snorkel tours.

4) El Fayoum

Camping in El Fayoum, Egypt is one of the best ways to experience the natural beauty of Egypt. The region is full of ancient ruins, breathtaking landscapes, and incredible wildlife. It's a great place to go if you want to experience desert life without having to go too far out into the desert. You'll still see some amazing wildlife and have plenty of space to roam around, but you'll be close enough that if anything goes wrong, you can get back to town quickly enough.

One great camping spot near El Fayoum is Lake Qaroun. This lake provides an amazing opportunity for canoeing and swimming. it's also great for fishing!

 5) Sinai Mountains

Sinai is an amazing place for camping because there are so many different types of terrain and wildlife to enjoy while you're there. If you're interested in seeing camels or riding horses through the desert, then Sinai is definitely worth checking out! And Camping in Sinai Mountains is definitely something that everyone should try at least once during their lifetime!

6) Ras Abu Galum

Camping in Ras Abu Galum reserve is one of the best ways to experience the beauty of Ras Abu Galum. The reserve has a lot of unique species of flora and fauna that can be seen only here. It is located near Naama Bay, which is a great place for diving and snorkeling. The idea behind this camping location was to create a place where people could come and relax after having spent all day exploring the beautiful nature around them. Camping at this location allows you to enjoy some good food with your family or friends while enjoying the beautiful landscape around you.

The Adventures in Egypt begin with a visit to Cairo

Cairo, Egypt. The city is a hub of culture, history, and beauty. Not only does it have some of the most fascinating attractions in the world, but it also has a rich history that you can't find anywhere else. The city is filled with many attractions sure that will make your Cairo day trips one of the best vacations ever!

I know how hard it can be to decide which places are worth seeing and which ones aren't—so I decided to make this list of Egypt Travel Guide for you! This list contains the top attractions & things to do in Cairo.

  • The Egyptian Museum: This museum is full of artifacts collected over thousands of years. You can see everything from mummies to statues and jewelry. It has over 120,000 artifacts on display at any given time and is open every day except Fridays and public holidays.
  •  Pyramids of Giza: These pyramids were built about 4,500 years ago for King Khufu (or Cheops) as his tomb. They are considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World because they were built with such precision that they still stand today despite thousands of years since their construction. The Great Pyramid alone stands at 146 meters high!
  •  The Great Sphinx of Giza is one of the tops. This Sphinx is a statue that was carved out of a single piece of limestone and stands 66 feet high. It is a great place to visit especially if you have kids because they will love it there. The Great Sphinx was built by Pharaoh Khafre who ruled Egypt from 2558–2532 BC. It was built as his tomb to guard him in the afterlife.
  • Citadel of Saladin: This castle was built in 1176 AD by Saladin after he took over Cairo from its Fatimid rulers during his war against them for control over Egypt's throne (which he eventually won).  It has since been converted into a park for locals and tourists alike!
  • Islamic Cairo: The area known as Islamic Cairo was established in 969 AD when Fatimid Caliph Al Muizz li Din Allah moved his capital here from Ifriqiya (now Tunisia). It contains many mosques, shrines, mausoleums, madrasas (religious schools), and palaces)
  • Shopping at  Khan El Khalili Bazaar: This market is one of the world's oldest markets and contains more than 4000 shops selling everything from jewelry to clothes to spices. The best part about this market is that it is located right next to Al-Azhar Mosque which makes it easy for tourists who want to visit both sites at once. It is definitely worth a visit! Or go shopping in another of Cairo’s markets such as Souk al-Khayamiya or Souk al-Ghuriya where you can buy antiques and souvenirs such as perfume bottles made from Egyptian glass.

  • Enjoy a traditional Arabic coffee at Al Feshawy Coffee in Khan El Khalili bazaar in downtown Cairo.
  •      Walk through the streets of Downtown Cairo and admire their historical buildings and Palaces such as the House of Suhaymi, Abdeen Palace, and Prince Taz palace. Those are beautiful buildings with a rich history and fantastic architecture, and worth a visit.

  • Spend time at Tahrir Square - You'll have an amazing view of this square while watching talented performers perform their amazing tricks on top of buildings or even on top of each other!
  • Attend an opera or ballet performance at Cairo Opera House—it's a great way to spend an evening out in the town!
  • Visiting Old Cairo: Old Cairo is home to many historical sites including Al-Hussein Mosque (which has been around since 1250) and the Islamic art Museum which features paintings from all over the world. You will also see some beautiful churches in this area such as St. Sergius Church which was initially built by Justinian around 527 CE but rebuilt after an earthquake destroyed it in 1323 CE. and the monastery of Sanit Simon which combines the beauty of nature and distinctive architecture.
  •          You can visit the Monastery of Saint Simeon Stylites or the Monastery of St. Anthony in Fayoum. These two monasteries are located on either end of Cairo and provide great opportunities for sightseeing outside of your normal routine (and maybe even some meditation).

  • Go to the  Islamic art Museum (Museum of Modern Art): This museum houses an impressive collection of Islamic art from around the world—and it's free! It's located just outside Bab Zuweila, so it makes for an excellent complement to your visit there if you're interested in learning more about Islamic history at this site (which I highly recommend), and the Coptic Museum Which houses many different pieces of Coptic art, including religious texts and documents, written on papyrus paper.
  • Enjoy visiting the hanging church in Coptic Cairo. The church was built on a ledge, which makes it seem like it's hanging from the mountain. It's one of the oldest churches in the city and is known for its architecture and history.
  • A visit to any of Cairo’s great mosques is an absolute must for anyone visiting this city. The most popular mosques include the Al-Azhar Mosque located near Bab Zuweila Street and the Al-Hussein Mosque, which are both built on the site of earlier mosques and have been expanded over the years. The Mosque of Amr ibn al-As is the oldest mosque in Cairo, built during the 7th century by the first Arab governor of Egypt. The Mosque of Ibn Tulun is the oldest in Cairo. It can be found next to the famous Bab al-Futuh and along the entrance road to Al-Azhar Park. You can also visit the Mosque of Mohammed Ali located in the Citadel or Al Hakim be Aamir Allah which is one of the most important historical sites in Cairo and is visited by thousands of people every year. Other mosques worth visiting include El-Rifa’i Mosque, Aqsunqur Mosque, and many more!

Some of them have been around for thousands of years. Among the most famous of them are the step pyramid and the pyramid of Teti at Saqqara, the bent pyramid of Sneferu, and the Red Pyramid at Dahshur. Other notable pyramids include the Abusir pyramids and the pyramid of Unas, as well as the Meidum pyramid at Beni Suef.
  • You can also explore several mastabas (tombs) belonging to royalty and commoners who lived during that time period. such as the tomb of nobles at Saqqara.
  •  If you're looking for a top-notch site to visit in Cairo, look no further than Saqqara necropolis. This ancient burial ground is home to over 6,000 tombs and mummies—and it's still being excavated today!
  • Explore one of Egypt's most important archaeological sites. Memphis City has everything from the pyramid complex to the necropolis, and it's a great place to see how ancient Egyptians lived their lives.
  •  Another site worth visiting is Dahshur archeological site. The site is famous for its pyramids and tombs, which were once used as burial chambers for Egyptian royalty. You can see the pyramids from a distance using a telescope or binoculars, but if you want to go inside them you'll need to hire a guide. This is one of the best places in Egypt to explore ancient history!

Best Ancient Egyptian Tomb Sites in Modern Day Egypt

As you plan your next vacation, you may consider a trip to Egypt. Egypt tours is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. This is because Egypt has a rich and fascinating history that dates back thousands of years. There are many great things to see and do in Egypt, but if you're looking for something exceptional and unique, consider visiting one of the best ancient Egyptian tomb sites in modern-day Egypt.

These ancient tombs were built thousands of years ago to honor the ancient world's pharaohs and other important people. They were made by skilled craftsmen who used their best materials to create the most beautiful structures they could imagine. These tombs were filled with treasures like gold, silver, and precious stones which were meant to help them in their journey into the afterlife.

The ancient Egyptian civilization dates back to 3100 BC and is one of the most well-known civilizations in history. The pyramids, tombs, and temples left behind by this civilization are a testament to their incredible skill and ingenuity.

Here are some of the best ancient Egyptian tomb sites in modern-day Egypt:

1) The Valley of the Kings(Luxor)

The Valley of the Kings is one of the most visited sites and the best things to do in Luxor if you plan any Egypt Travel Packages. It is home to dozens of tombs that date back thousands of years and was used as a burial ground for some of ancient Egypt's most potent and greatest Kings and rulers of Egypt during the new kingdom, including those famous pharaohs like Ramses II and Tutankhamun. It's also where many archaeologists believe that King Tut himself was buried originally before his tomb was discovered.

Here are some of the best ones:

  1. One of my favorite tombs is that of King Tutankhamun, who was only a child when he became pharaoh. His tomb has been beautifully preserved, and it's a great place to see how even the wealthiest and most powerful Egyptians were laid to rest. He lived during an interesting time for ancient Egypt history—the 18th dynasty and he was also famous for his beautiful golden burial mask with an almond-shaped face that still exists today!
  2. Another tomb worth checking out is that of King Ramses III, who ruled during the 19th dynasty. It was dedicated to Amun-Re, Re-Harakhti, and God Ptah. The tomb has been discovered in pieces over time, but it retains its grandeur. This tomb has been visited by many celebrities over time including Napoleon Bonaparte.
  3. Tomb of King Thutmose III, The tomb of this Egyptian pharaoh can be found in the southern part of the valley. This tomb has unique features, like its rock-cut facade and hidden burial chamber.  It's a beautiful structure with colorful paintings on its walls depicting scenes from Egyptian mythology. You can't miss it!
  4. The Tomb of King Merneptah is one of the best tombs to visit. It was built for Pharaoh Merenptah, who lived around 1213 BC. The tomb is also a good place to visit because it will give you a good idea of how these graves were built and what they looked like. Another reason this is a good place to visit is that you can learn more about Egypt history by seeing how people lived back then.
  5. Tomb of King Seti I, This tomb can be found in the northern portion of the valley and was built for Seti I, who ruled Egypt during the 13th dyansty. His tomb is notable for its well-preserved paintings and decorations; these date back to when he was alive.
  6. The tomb of Ramses VI is one of my favorites because it is one of the largest tombs and it has such an impressive entranceway—it's called "The Great Hypostyle Hall." At over 500 feet long and 180 feet high, it's easy to see why this is one of the largest temples ever built by any pharaoh.

2) The Great Pyramid at Giza

The Great Pyramid is a tomb located at the Giza Plateau near Cairo, Egypt. This pyramid was built over a 20-year period concluding around 2560 BC as a tomb for King Khufu (Cheops), who was the second pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty. It is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in Giza Necropolis and it is considered an architectural wonder for its size and its interior design.

3) the valley of the Queen

The Valley of the Queens is another excellent place to visit through your tours from Cairo to see ancient Egyptian tombs, as it contains numerous burials of queens buried alongside their husbands or other family members.

It is located in Luxor, Egypt and consists of a series of tombs built for royal women, including Queen Hatshepsut. The tombs were all built during the New Kingdom period, which lasted from 1550-1070 BC. The most famous tomb is that of Queen Nefertari, who married Ramesses II; this is one of the most extensive tombs ever found in Egypt.

4) Deir el Medina

If you're looking for an ancient Egyptian tomb site, Deir el Medina is one of the best. It's a village that was built by workers from the nearby Valley of the Kings, and while they were working, they built their own houses and lived there. This is important because it shows how people lived during this time period: they didn't just build tombs, they built homes and communities! In addition to seeing how people lived, you'll also get a chance to see some really cool artifacts from this time period.

The tomb of Inherkhau is one of the most amazing tombs to be seen in Egypt. It is exquisitely painted with historical themes, including the killing of the serpent Apophis, who was the adversary of the god Amun Ra.

5) Beni Hassan

The site of Beni Hassan is located near Minya, Upper Egypt. It contains a large number of tombs built for nobles, ruled in the Middle Kingdom and were buried there during the 12th Dynasty.

All together, there are more than 100 tombs in this area. Most of them were made out of mud brick, but they all contain similar decorations on their walls, images of gods and goddesses like God Osiris and God Isis. These images show how important religion was at this time in history; they also show us how much influence these leaders had over their people.

6) The valley of the Nobles at Luxor

The Valley of the Nobles at Thebes are a series of tombs that were built during the New Kingdom, and they are considered one of the best ancient Egyptian tombs. The tombs were built for high-ranking officials and nobles. The tombs were built in a necropolis southwest of  Deir el Medina and Deir el-Bahri, near Luxor. They were found by accident when an Arab fell into a pit while digging for sand in 1881. The first tomb built in this area was that of Pharaoh Thutmose I.

7) The Mastaba Tombs at Saqqara

The Mastaba Tombs at Saqqara date back to the Old Kingdom, during the 2th Dynasty, around 2700 BCE. They were built on a terrace that was created by an earlier building, which was called a mastaba. These tombs were used by nobles and wealthy people who wanted to be buried in a quiet place near Memphis City, where they could be close to their families and friends.

8) Qubbet el Hawa in Aswan

Qubbet el Hawa in Aswan is one of the best ancient Egyptian tombs. It is located on the east bank of the Nile River in Aswan, Egypt. The tomb was built during the reign of Amenhotep III and his son, Akhenaten. The location of this tomb is a bit confusing. It was originally built for Amenhotep III, who died before it was completed. His body was placed in a different tomb in The Valley of the Kings. The entrance to Qubbet el Hawa is surrounded by columns that are decorated with lotus flowers and palm trees. The ceiling has paintings of stars and constellations. There are also paintings of people carrying offerings to the dead.

9) Tell el-Amarna

Tell el-Amarna is one of the best ancient Egyptian tombs. It was built during the reign of Amenhotep IV in the 14th dynasty and is located in Middle Egypt. The site contains several temples and palaces as well as residential quarters for priests and officials.  It was built for Pharaoh Akhenaten which was a Pharaoh who changed how religion would be practiced in Egypt by introducing one god: God Aten, also known as the sun disk. He built this tomb to honor his new religion.
